Have You Found The Pathway?
The pilot of a US military aircraft was forced to parachute out of his plane when it was hit by enemy fire during the Vietnam War, and he found himself landing in the middle of a very dense and dangerous jungle. How could he possibly find his way out? A local man saw what happened and came to the pilot’s rescue. The frightened pilot cried out to the man, “Where’s the road?! Where’s the way out?!” The rescuer replied back, “Follow me, I know the way!” The pilot trusted the man, who led him through and out of the jungle. The pilot found his way back to his camp, survived the war, and was able to return home safely to his family in the States.
Similarly, we may find ourselves ‘lost’ (we wouldn’t know what to do) and in the middle of a tremendous ‘jungle’ around us (emotional, physical, and spiritual problems, hardships, etc.). We get scared, and who would not be. But rest assured that there is somebody who would bring us out of these troubles, and lead us ‘home’. Our Lord Himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). Faith in Jesus is the only way to salvation and eternal fellowship with God.
The path to God is not found by following a creed, by developing moral character, by being a “do-good” person, or by just simply being present in church. The path to God is found by confessing our sins, by trusting and having faith in Jesus, by accepting Him to be our Lord and Savior. When we open our hearts to the crucified and risen Lord and Savior, we are sure we are in the correct pathway that will bring us home to be with Him.
Have you already found the ‘PATHWAY’? If not yet, it’s about time you find it, and follow it. There’s only one true way, and Christ Jesus is His name.
God bless…
